The only way to handle children's constant requests is to have them understand that they are unlimited beings and they can create what they want. Children will feel empowered to know that their parent is not the supplier of all things, and that the Universe is. Teach them what to do. Teach them the creative process - ask, believe, receive. Create a vision board for them to draw and create pictures of what they want, and then encourage them to make believe that they have it already. Explain to them that what they give out returns to them. This is an opportunity for you to empower your children for the rest of their lives.
